The Law Society of Manitoba is the regulator of the legal profession in Manitoba. We are currently seeking Legal Counsel to assist our General Counsel in conducting discipline hearings, admissions and education appeals and related court work including appeals, applications for judicial review, injunctive relief and custodial orders. Counsel will be required to conduct legal research and provide legal opinions on a broad range of regulatory and legal issues as required from time to time.
To be considered for this position candidates must have the following qualifications:
- Practising membership with the Law Society of Manitoba, or eligibility for membership
- Minimum of 5 years of practising experience
- Superior communication skills
- Excellent writing skills
- Ability to handle complex, diverse files in a timely manner
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
