We are looking for an energetic, detailed oriented individual with strong communication and organizational skills. This is a permanent full time position in the Admissions & Membership department.

The Law Society of Manitoba is the independent regulator of approximately 2,300 practicing lawyers that comprise the legal profession in Manitoba. The Law Society’s mandate is to protect the public interest by ensuring that legal services are delivered by a competent, honourable and independent legal profession.

Responsibilities:

  • Receipt and timely processing of applications/forms
  • Preparing letters and correspondence
  • Organizing and maintaining files
  • Creating and maintaining database records
  • Preparing reports
  • Responding to email and phone inquiries

Qualifications
Required:

  • Training or equivalent administrative experience
  • Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat Pro, Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team

Assets:

  • Experience working in a legal workplace or for a regulatory body
  • Familiar with creating, editing, and maintaining database files and records
