Thank you to all the nominees who put their names forward. With a strong list of candidates to consider, members have made their decision and cast their votes. The successful candidates in the 2025 Bencher by-election for the City of Winnipeg electoral district are Jason Gisser and Nicole Hamilton.
Jason and Nicole were formally appointed by the benchers at the June 26th bencher meeting.

A Bencher By-Election will be held on Wednesday, June 11, 2025 in order to fill two vacant positions in the City of Winnipeg Electoral District. Online voting polls will open Wednesday, May 21, 2025, and close 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 10, 2025.

Announcing New Executive Team Members
The benchers have elected our new executive members, Gerri Wiebe, K.C., 104th President (left) and Christian Monnin, Vice-President (right) who will take over their official duties at the May 2024 bencher meeting.

Nineteen candidates put their names forward for the 2024 Bencher Election. Two candidates have been elected by acclamation. On Wednesday, May 1, 2024, there will be an election in the City of Winnipeg, Dauphin Central and Northern Electoral Districts, for the eleven remaining bencher vacancies. Online voting polls are now open. Eligible voters can cast their vote by logging into The Law Society of Manitoba member portal.
