The Law Society has the authority to decide who can practise law in Manitoba based upon the person’s character and fitness to practise law and based upon the person’s academic performance in the Law Society’s pre-call education program. If a person’s ability to practise law in Manitoba has been restricted by this type of decision, he or she can appeal this decision to the Admission and Education committee.
