The Continuing Professional Development (CPD) team at the Law Society provides educational resources to support the competence of lawyers and legal staff throughout Manitoba. As a member of the CPD team, the successful candidate will provide administrative support for CPD projects and programs.
The Law Society of Manitoba is the independent regulator of approximately 2,300 practicing lawyers that comprise the legal profession in Manitoba. The Law Society’s mandate is to protect the public interest by ensuring that legal services are delivered by a competent, honourable and independent legal profession.
Responsibilities:
- Processing registrations and communicate details with registrants
- Format and edit educational materials
- Organize logistics for CPD events (in-person, webinar, hybrid and on demand)
- Work as part of the CPD team on a variety of education focused projects
Qualifications
Required:
- Minimum of 3 years administrative experience
- Strong organization skills and attention to detail and able to meet deadlines
- Strong word processing skills: Word, Adobe, Excel
- Strong customer service skills
- Strong written and oral communication skills required
- Ability to work independently and also as part of a team
Assets:
- Background in the legal field
- Event coordination experience
