Over the Phone
The Law Society is proud to support the many programs and resources the Community Legal Education Association (CLEA) offers including the Law Phone-In & Lawyer Referral Program. This program provides:
- legal information and advice,
- referrals to law-related agencies, if appropriate,
- in appropriate situations, a referral to a lawyer on the Lawyer Referral panel. The first interview with that lawyer is free (up to half an hour).

If you meet the financial requirements (i.e. 1 person family units with annual incomes under $50,000), the Legal Help Centre offers free Drop-in Clinics. Located in Winnipeg on the second floor of the Portage Place Mall, Drop-in hours are Tuesdays and Thursdays 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm. No appointment is necessary.
