Over the Phone
Supported by The Law Society of Manitoba, the Community Legal Education Association (CLEA) offers free, confidential legal help through its Law Phone-In & Lawyer Referral Program. This program provides:
- legal information and advice,
- referrals to law-related agencies, if appropriate,
- in appropriate situations, a referral to a lawyer on the Lawyer Referral panel. The first interview with that lawyer is free (up to half an hour).

With offices in Winnipeg, Brandon, The Pas, Thompson and Dauphin connect with you’re your local Legal Aid Manitoba office to learn if you qualify for assistance.

If you meet the financial requirements (i.e. 1 person family units with annual incomes under $50,000), the Legal Help Centre offers free Drop-in Clinics. Located in Winnipeg on the second floor of the Portage Place Mall, Drop-in hours are Tuesdays and Thursdays 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm. No appointment is necessary.
