Building an Ecosystem for Manitobans Seeking Access to Justice

The Manitoba Access to Justice (A2J) Initiative is bringing together community members, frontline providers, provincial and Indigenous governments and Elders to transform how our justice system works together.

To better understand how the community experiences access to justice challenges, the project’s first phase involved a 15-month consultation with these key groups. What we learned is clear: advancing access to justice is not limited by a lack of ideas, commitment, or investment, but by how we collaborate to navigate system-wide change.

These insights will inform our next step: establishing an Access to Justice Action Coalition to advance the community’s vision through co-design and ensure leadership, collaboration, and accountability across the ecosystem.
