Job description:

The Regulatory Compliance Officer ensures the WCB complies with external laws regarding information protection, accessibility, service standards, and trade agreements.

Key Responsibilities:

Compliance & Risk Management: Monitor legislative changes impacting data, procurement, and service delivery. Conduct risk assessments and Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs) to mitigate legal exposures.

Operations & FIPPA/PHIA: Manage access and disclosures under FIPPA and PHIA. Conduct internal audits and investigate compliance issues or complaints.

Leadership & Strategy: Lead cross-divisional teams to implement required operational or systemic changes. Act as the primary liaison with regulatory authorities.

Training & Guidance: Develop compliance training materials and deliver workshops to ensure staff understand their legal obligations.
