As a key member of our organization, reporting to the Group Director, Legal and Compliance, this position is responsible for providing practical, solution-based advice to leadership of the NFI Business units regarding legal risks and issues. This position will also contribute to operational and strategic planning, including developing leading practices to support key messages and business objectives.

Day to day duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Identifying legal issues and risks and provide advice regarding the management of those issues and risks.
  • Manage litigation matters and supervise external litigation counsel.
  • Negotiate, draft, review and interpret a wide range of legal agreements and other documents.
  • Provide advice in respect of and manage regulatory, risk prevention and compliance matters.
  • Draft corporate policies and provide advice on governance issues.
  • Our successful candidate will have at least 4 years of corporate/commercial legal experience.
